Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. You have taken the first step on a life changing journey learning about Jiu-Jitsu. Listed below are some commonly asked questions about the art and what being a member of our academy entails. Feel free to contact us regarding further questions you may have.

What is Jiu-Jitsu?

Jiu-Jitsu is the worlds most effective and complete method of self defense. It is designed for a smaller person defending against being assaulted by a larger, stronger attacker utilizing leverage and intelligence to defend, submit or escape the attacker. It is designed to work for people of all ages and all walks of life. Our student base ranges from age 6 to 60, it’s never too early or too late to start your journey.

Do you have a competition team?

Jiu Jitsu is first and foremost a method of self defense. While the sporting aspect is very fun and popular, our primary concern is to teach our students how to realistically defend themselves in a combative situation. However, for those who wish to compete in sport jiu jitsu, we do have a competition team and love competing in local and national tournaments.

How much do you charge?

We are both affordable and competitive in our pricing. We are a professional academy and as such we only discuss pricing once we have had a chance to meet with you at the academy.

Do I need a uniform?

Yes. We teach in the traditional Gracie way with the uniform. We only allow white or blue kimonos.

Do you offer any price discounts?

Yes. We offer discounts to active duty military personnel, law enforcement personnel, and first responders as well as family rates.
